Whether he’s in the courtroom or fielding legal questions, many business and individual clients can trust Jim Nowogrocki with their most sensitive company matters and litigation. Jim is a seasoned litigator who focuses his practice on commercial and business litigation and employment law. He also handles appeals. Jim’s employment law clients rely on his counsel regarding employee policies, handbooks, employment contracts, severance agreements, and compliance with various workplace laws. He also advises clients on noncompete agreements and trade secret matters. In his commercial litigation practice, Jim represents clients as both plaintiffs and defendants across a wide spectrum of legal issues. Clients benefit from his experience in the comprehensive preparation of cases for a bench or jury trial. Jim takes pride in providing his clients prompt, thoughtful and creative solutions to their legal problems. He earned his law degree in 1988 from Washington University School of Law. He later served as an adjunct professor there, teaching pretrial practice and procedure for 10 years.
